The American Association of Airport Executives’ patented Interactive Employee Training (IET) System delivered its two millionth training session earlier this month, an unprecedented achievement that underscores the prominent role that AAAE’s computer-based training and testing system plays in helping airports meet critical training needs in a cost-effective manner.
“With more than two million training sessions delivered to date at nearly 100 airports across the country, AAAE’s interactive training system is the industry leader in airport training, giving airport workers the tools they need to safely perform their job duties while keeping costs to airports as low as possible,” AAAE President Chip Barclay said. “The value of AAAE’s computer-based training technology to airports and airport workers is validated more than a thousand times every day at airports across the country.”
AAAE has delivered more than 500 IET workstations to 91 airports since 2000. Each day, more than 1,000 different airport employees rely on IET courses to help meet federally mandated training requirements and to provide supplemental instruction. Interactive programmes train these individuals on important safety and security responsibilities. The employees are immediately tested and given feedback on their understanding of the course material presented. Upon completion, all training records are automatically stored and tracked, as required by federal regulations.
