LJLA gains people management standard

Liverpool John Lennon Airport (LJLA) has been awarded accreditation against the Investors in People Standard.

Investors in People is an international standard for people management, defining what it takes to lead, support and manage people effectively to achieve sustainable results.

LJLA employs around 250 staff across a number of disciplines including, operations, fire and rescue service, engineering, air traffic control and administration. Three years ago the Airport Company introduced a People Strategy as part of a move which it said would enable it to become an employer of choice for existing and future employees. It says that the Investors in People accreditation has been an important part of this process.

Carol Dutton, Liverpool John Lennon Airport’s HR and Community Director commented, “On behalf of the Airport we are delighted to have achieved the Investors in People accreditation. This is testament to all the hard work of colleagues from across all departments and gives the Airport international recognition that this is a great place to work.”
