De-icing and anti-icing company Kilfrost has secured an alliance with Eastman that it says will give UK and Irish airports a one-stop solution to winter icing protection.
The distribution deal between Kilfrost Ltd and Eastman will see Kilfrost offering the Clearway runway de-icing solutions alongside the company’s own products.
Eastman is a global speciality chemical company established in runway, taxiway and apron de-icing at airports worldwide.
Steven Ellis, Senior Sales Manager at Kilfrost, said: “The alliance with Eastman makes perfect sense in offering our customers, a one-stop solution for their frost protection needs.
“By joining together in this way, we can offer greater expertise and reliability, while at the same time maintaining our high standards of technical competence and operational excellence.”
“We are excited about the alliance between Eastman and Kilfrost” says Colin Ashton, Global Sales Director, Care Chemicals at Eastman. “Both companies are well known and experienced players in the industry. Together we are able to offer our customers in the UK and Ireland an optimized service and security of supply.”
Last month Kilforst announced it had invested in a second manufacturing facility in Antwerp, bringing robustness of supply and winter resilience to the European airline industry.
