Garuda Indonesia has appointed dnata to provide all ground handling services for its new five weekly flights from Jakarta and Singapore to London Heathrow.
The company says the agreement strengthens dnata’s position as an independent handler, with the firm now providing air services across seven airports in the UK.
The new UK base for the airline will be Terminal 3 where dnata will provide a full range of ground and passenger services, from check-in to ramp operations and baggage handling, when Boeing 777-300ER services commence on 31 March.
Garuda’s freight will be handled at dnata City, a purpose-built complex. dnata will also provide the carrier with inter-airport cargo trucking throughout the UK.
